Special Effect Masterbatches and Additives

Colourmaster are aware that our customers are continually being asked to mould products in new fashion colours, or to achieve very specific or unusual results which is why we are constantly looking for and developing new masterbatches and additives.

Fluorescent Masterbatch

We carry the Clariant range of fluorescent masterbatches which are suitable for use in PVC, PS, ABS, PBT & PC and give extremely good results at low addition rates.

A recent addition is our own fluorescent masterbatches for use in LD/PE, HD/PE, PP, & EVA. This range has been specially formulated to make sure that we can offer bold vibrant fluorescent colours for use in nearly all major polymer types.

Hologram Masterbatch

We have recently developed four exciting new masterbatch colours which give a hologram type effect when used in natural materials. That is to say that the colour seems to appear and disappear as the moulding is moved, particularly effective for curved surface mouldings this is a totally new product which as far as we know is exclusive to Colourmaster. Glitter and Hologram Flakes

Our new range of glitters includes a wide variety of sizes in silver, gold and a range of colours together with silver and gold hologram glitter which gives a new colour change effect. These are very effective when used in transparent materials and are suitable for a wide range of materials.

Glow In The Dark Additive

Nightflare H2 additive is our glow in the dark additive, supplied as a powder it gives a greenish afterglow to natural materials after being exposed to a light source. The brightness and length of time the product glows for is determined by how much light and for how long the finished product is exposed.

Thermochromic Masterbatch

We are able to offer a range of masterbatches with thermochromic properties, that is to say that when used to colour a range of polymers the colour of the moulding changes at a given temperature and in most cases changes to its original colour when the moulding reverts back to its starting temperature. As this area can be quite technical we advise customers to discuss their specific needs with us in order to identify which product will be most suitable for a given application.

Edge Glow Masterbatch

Manufactured by Clariant and suitable for use in transparent materials such as GP/PS, PC, ABS, PBT & PVC in Yellow, Green Pink these give a tint to the main surface of the mouldings and a neon type glow at the edges. An exciting opportunity for use in products aimed at the fashion, music or toy sector.

Wood Grain

We can help you achieve a realistic wood grain effect in a wide range of wood style colours using masterbatch either with blowing agents included in the pellet of by supplying the base colour together with a blowing agent additive.

Marble Effect

We have a range of additive masterbatches which when used in conjunction with your base colour masterbatch produce a realistic marble streaking effect.

Metallic Effect

Masterbatches which give a good metallic finish in silver, gold, pewter, bronze etc. from Clariant, Colloids and specifically matched by our own colour lab are available for a wide range of polymers.

Pearlescent Effect

Colourmaster offer a host of pearlescent colours either from our stock colour range by Clariant or specifically matched to your requirements by our own colour lab.

Sparkle Masterbatch

Recently added to the Clariant range are Sparkle masterbatches which are available in Blue, Violet and Pink. These give a semi transparent finish with additional glitter to give a truly sparkling result.
